Happy Birthday, Sweet Boy!
God has grown you in bravery this year. In many situations where you are tempted to fear, you instead trust that God is with you wherever you are and is caring for you in the best way possible.
This is something I even see while you are playing- super heroes, knights, fire fighter. I love to watch you as you help save pretend people from pretend problems.
Just as we talked about over your birthday dinner, you bring such JOY to this family. Even when things are difficult, you like to make jokes and do other things to bring cheer.
Five years old? So big!
Miscellaneous:
Isaiah got his first bike for his birthday. He LOVES it. Every time he rode it for the first few days he’d say to me over and over things like, “Oh, I really like this” and “This is the BEST” and “I LOVE my bike!”
He picked homemade pizza, blueberries, and salad for dinner. We had ice cream sandwiches for dessert.
He’s always been very curious about letters and sounds and has begun reading simple words.
He takes his big brother responsibilities very seriously and often looks for ways to care for his brother and sister.
Isaiah’s never been a picky eater, but has never been very fond of grapefruit. Well, he decided that eating grapefruit is something people do when they get bigger, and now eats it willingly (“Because I’m 5”).
